My name should have been Charlotte Emily Kate. That was the plan, but when I was born my mother had a momentary lapse in judgement and called me  ’Dulcinea’ (with an excessive number of middle names to boot). With such a literary name what choice did I have but to aspire to be a writer (or a Princess). Had I been called Charlotte Emily Kate then perhaps I would have chosen a slightly more sensible impossible dream to quest for

My day job is as a Teaching Assistant where I am currently training to get my post-graduate Early Years Professional Status but by night my secret other self creeps out of the cupboard and forces me to write!

In my writing life I have done a lot of fiction and non-fiction freelance work and am currently a freelance editor for Wyvern Publications and a staff writer for the children’s short story publishing company knowonder!
